Finance Department

The Finance Department is responsible for the safeguarding of the fiscal integrity of the City of Temple through the development and implementation of sound financial policies and practices.

The Finance Department is responsible for the preparation of financial statements in accordance with the objectives of reporting standards established by GASB; these are relevance, understandability, comparability, timeliness, consistency, and reliability.  These reports are the standard that citizens, oversight bodies, and other stakeholders use to judge the efficiency, effectiveness, and overall financial condition of the City.  The documents below are the FY 2020 audited annual financial report, management letter, and auditor’s discussion & analysis: financial & compliance audit summary.
