INFORMATION UPDATE Regarding the IMPENDING WEATHER September 25, 2024

We have received multiple calls and emails about the incoming weather and our plans for Founders Day. The weather looks like everything should be cleared up by Saturday, so we are planning to move forward with our event. We all know that the weather can be unpredictable, and if anything changes, we will update everyone as soon as possible. All updates will be posted on Facebook, the City’s website (www.templega.us) and communicated via text. (To receive Text alerts from the City, text TEMPLE to 91896.) We are in communication with our VENDORS and PARADE participants by email. ***AS OF SEPTEMBER 6th, we are no longer accepting applications for VENDORS for Founders Day! We no longer have space available**

**Please use EXTRA CAUTION while traveling in DOWNTOWN on Saturday, September 28th. The PARADE begins at 4:30PM (see parade route in documents posted below). There will be road closures due to the parade and more traffic and pedestrians in the downtown area than usual. 

 

Temple Founders Day will take place on SATURDAY, September 28, 2024. 

PARADE (Downtown Temple) 4:30PM

FESTIVAL (240 Rome St./Recreation Center) 5:00PM- DARK

FIREWORKS: at DARK

If you would like to participate in the PARADE:

There is no charge to participate in the PARADE. We do require that all parade participants complete an APPLICATION (posted below) and either bring or mail it to City Hall (240 Carrollton St., Temple GA 30179) or email to Kristin: ketheredge [at] templega.us (ketheredge[at]templega[dot]us). The parade will begin at 4:30PM, parade line up will take place at 3:30PM. You will receive an email prior to the event with the parade lineup information and location. We hope you'll join us in the parade with your TEMPLE SPIRIT!!

If you would like to be a VENDOR (VENDOR SPOTS ARE ALL FILLED)

To reserve vendor space for the Temple Founders Day Festival bring your completed application (posted below) to City Hall (240 Carrollton Street, M-F, 8:00am-4:00pm) with your payment (cash, credit or check) OR email the application to: ketheredge [at] templega.us (ketheredge[at]templega[dot]us) and call 770-562-3369 Ext. 107 (M-F, 8:00am- 4:00PM) to make the vendor payment via credit card. * Applications will be accepted through Sept. 13, 2024

The VENDOR Fee is $60 for Food Vendors, $40 for Non-Food Vendors. There is NO CHARGE for non profit organizations with a valid 501c3

We do NOT provide electricity, tables, chairs, tents, etc.; we just provide the space which is approximately 12 x 12.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR VENDORS:

  • Set up will begin at 2pm. Please move your vehicle to the designated vendor parking area once you have set up.  All vehicles must be moved to vendor parking areas no later than 3:30pm. 
  • Booth areas are approx. 12’ x 12’. If you require a larger space, please contact us ASAP for availability. No trailers will be allowed in the booth area during the festival without prior approval, due to space limitations. 
  • All booths must be ready by 3:45pm.
  • Tables, chairs, tents, etc. are your responsibility 
  • We do NOT provide electricity 
  • The event closes  after the fireworks display. All booths must remain open until the fireworks are done. 
  • Please clean up all debris before vacating your space.
  • Booth locations will be assigned 2 weeks prior to the event. Information will be sent to the email you provided on this application
